Album

Yield is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, released on February 3, 1998. Following a short promotional tour for its previous album, No Code 1996, Pearl Jam recorded Yield throughout 1997 at Studio Litho and Studio X in Seattle, Washington. The album was hailed as a return to the band's early, straightforward rock sound, and marked a more collaborative effort from the band as opposed to relying heavily on frontman Eddie Vedder to compose the song lyrics. They also fall prey to their habit of dividing the record into rock and ballad sides, which makes Yield a little exhausting, even at its concise length. It also emphasizes the relative lack of exceptional material. Yield is the fifth studio album by the Pearl Jam, released on February 3, 1998. Pearl Jam recorded Yield throughout 1997 at Studio Litho and Studio X in Seattle, Washington. The album features a more straight-forward rock sound that goes back to the Ten era. It all started with the creative process. Where Pearl Jam was initially led by Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament , later albums found Eddie Vedder being the primary creative force. But with No Code , the singer began to wear down and was welcome to the idea of other voices being heard. Listen free to Pearl Jam Yield Brain of J. Faithfull and more. 13 tracks . Yield is the fifth studio album by the American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, released on February 3, 1998. Yield is the fifth studio album by the grunge band Pearl Jam. This album may not be as grunge as their first 3 albums but it still has some influence from them. Pearl Jam went more in an experimental direction with this one trying to find a new style but still with their grungey roots. This album was said to be better because it went back to the bands roots in more of a straightforward rock sound. Gossard said about this albums writing, The songs were a little bit more structured. I dont know if it was poppier. Genre: Alternative Rock. Track for track this album is enjoyable and the more accessible than their others. I feel like every first time listener of PJ should start here and work their way then back to the first LP. This has everything from sentimental topics from which PJ is known for, political insight and self awareness
