Sommerabend is the third album by the German progressive rock band, Novalis, released in 1976. Detlef Job - guitar, vocals. Lutz Rahn - keyboards. Heino Schünzel - bass, is the third album by the German progressive rock band, Novalis, released in 1976. Following their second album, Carlo Karges left the band who went on tour without him as a quartet. In early 1976, Novalis recorded their third album with producer Achim Reichel. Reichel was partly involved in the compositions, Rale Oberpichler helped out as a choral singer. Shortly after the release of Sommerabend, Novalis found an additional singer in a newspaper advertisement in Fred Mühlböck.
