User reviews
Side F is always blank. There's three tracks that I'm thinking about that could possibly fit there.
Yes, I bought both of UME's Step In the Arena reissues. The black one and special white. I recently just got Ice Cube's War & Peace from RTC b/c one of the volumes had atleast one reviewer singing its praises. RTC strikes again, big mistake, full of pops and clicks. I should have kept my OG releases. O well, I'm just going to re-buy the originals. RTC cannot be trusted. Even Get On Down or Get Down or whatever seems more reliable. I've liked Vinyl Me too. I was considering getting EPMD's Unfinished Business b/c some say it's good. Think I'll pass and go for the OG.
#pungisotu That's true. I can't stand that 'Respect The Classics' series. There is nothing with high quality or a little improvement like 180grams or gatefold cover. Printed inner sleeves and downloadcode. NOTHING. They just put out simple re-releases. Not more. Even the older original pressings are much better. Glad to own almost all relevant Gang Starr lp's. 'Daily Operation' , 'Step In The Arena', 'Hard To Earn' and 'Moment Of Truth'. The only one I bought is a new 180g, 2lp, white vinyl, limited to 200 (is told/written). If sounds real good but is not from the 'Respect' series. That series is overrated and also way too expensive. Everybody is hatin on 'Back To Black' releases. They aren't so bad to me. Much better than this series. I don't feel they respect the classics!
Yes. I'm hoping that they do that too. Natural, Tha Squeeze and The Piece Maker. I don't know how they missed that opportunity.
This was a repress and they missed that opportunity. UME recently reissued Step In the Arena (just last month, I think) with both Credit is Due and Check the Technique (Remix) as bonus cuts. No real loss though, I haven't heard this press, but Respect the Classics series is known for being poor quality. I bought Hard to Earn and it was flat sounding with weak bass.
Possibly on a future repress they could include them !
Exactly, natural, squeeze, battle, and I would like to see soul, as well. What a missed opportunity.
