David Bowie is the second studio album by the English musician David Bowie, released under that title by Philips in the UK, and as Man of WordsMan of Music by Mercury in the US, on 14 November 1969. It was reissued in 1972 by RCA Records as Space Oddity the title of the opening track, which had reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart. Space Oddity was the name used for releases of the album in 1984, 1990, and 1999, but it reverted to the original, eponymous title for 2009 and 2015 reissues. The 2019. David Bowie's second album - originally another self-titled one, and variously retitled Man of WordsMan of Music for a US release and eventually becoming generally known as Space Oddity, thanks to the show-stealing title track - is often mistaken for his first, mainly because of the way he generally distanced himself from his debut album over the years whilst regularly revisiting. It took David Bowie quite a long time to rise to the top of the pop world. His naiive debut album from 1967 is rather outdated. This second album also was originally without a specific title, but due to the success of the song 'Space Oddity', it is nowadays known by that name. Even though it contained no hits, The Man Who Sold the World, for most intents and purposes, was the beginning of David Bowie's classic period. The sound of The Man Who Sold the World is odd, but the music itself is bizarre, with Bowie's weird, paranoid futuristic tales melded to Ronson's riffing and the band's relentless attack. Bowie looks the man in the eyes and tells him he though he died alone a long time ago. To me, this means the man had some sort of vice or problem that Bowie knew about when they used to be friends. In response, the man says Oh no, Not me I never lost control. You're face to face with the man who sold the world. in a tone that could be seen as fake upbeat, for it contrasts the sullen tone before it, think of it as if the man is saying it through grated teeth and a smile He's stating that even though he had a problem, he never let it take control of

This pressing contains "Don't sit down", it wasn't on the original and shouldn't be here either
Is this the same version as the one from V&A?
There are a max numb of 3000!!! No more!! maybe 2000....I know for sure .. A Friend working at the museum
Max. 3000 or 2000? Vague. I still have the feeling that the museum has been fooling the customers to sell more. The museum tells people they are not responsible but Warner is and refuse to state the correct number.
Still for sale on March 5, 2016 in the Museum. New pressing perhaps?
Bought one at the exhibition yesterday for 35 euros, plenty available. Don't get fooled by those flippers.
Johan1880 Bought one at the exhibition yesterday for 35 euros, plenty available. Don't get fooled by those flippers. Post runouts please
They had a certain amount available, supposedly 3000. The amount was divided amongst the whole exhibition. So it wouldn't be sold out from day one.By the way, 35€? I bought on the first day for 23€.
just what we needed a boutique version of a boutique pressing. fuck right off.
